Philosophy: 

At Discovery Nest Early Learning Center, we aim to guide children using a holistic approach. We provide
experiences for children that are intentional, developmentally appropriate, and meet the unique needs of each
child. We value the importance of early childhood by creating an environment that is up-to-date on best practice
and encourages learning through play.

Curriculum: 
We believe that children are important citizens in our world; they are strong, capable, and resourceful. Our classrooms reflect this belief as the materials provided for the children connect them to nature, promote creativity,  require problem solving, and help them create and test theories about their world. As valued citizens in our world, our center provides children with an environment that promotes well-being and longevity. Vitality and health will be nurtured by providing intentional physical activity every week (Discovery Movement), outdoor experiences daily (weather permitting), nutritious food, a safe and clean environment, and minimal sedentary behavior.

Emergent Planning: the classroom programs are created weekly based on observation's of children; personalized to meet the needs of the children. Educators ensure all developmental domains are covered: social, emotional, physical, intellectual, language, and creativity.
